Upon arriving in Vancouver, BC, in the summer of 2023, I quickly realized how similar it was to my home state.

With endless greenery and beautiful bodies of water just miles apart, Vancouver felt like a second home. These images capture Vancouver during the summer—its great lakes, towering buildings, and more. 

A common theme throughout this project is the bright summer blue skies; you couldn’t go a day in August without the sun shining down on you. With abundant hikes, sightseeing destinations, and clear blue waters, this project shifted my perspective on photography, teaching me to appreciate the rawness of images and how some photos truly speak for themselves.

Vancouver, truly a home away from home, left a lasting impact on my approach to capturing the beauty of a place.
